Light and Sound Experiment

This afternoon Room 5 and LS 1 went to the reserve and did an experiment. We needed to put our hand up when we heard the clapper we made a long line beside the water. Ms Kirkpatrick was at one end. When she clapped the sound travelled down the line people put their hands up in a wave. We saw the before we heard the sound because light travels faster than sound.

In our thinking groups we looked at a text that has different opinions. The issue was, should we have prize giving? We looked at the vocabulary and found some definitions. We talked about our own opinions. We wrote down one reason we should and one reason we shouldn't prize giving

Poem - I Hear

Here is the original poem I have written my own version 

I Hear

When I think of school

I hear

Kids talking and stomping 

At lunch the kids run and shout like a dog running faster than a tiger, a cat, a fly, an ant. 

But if it is morning tea they walk to their bags and get their food and eat. 

When they are done they run and roar like a tiger.

They pack their bags and go home. 

And there, just outside the top window

As if it had never ceased to be

But only needed listening to 

Keyboards typing, floating free.
